CULTURE AND ARCHITECTURAL INTERVENTION

Course Description
In this program, you will have the opportunity to learn about 20th and 21st Century architecture and how it relates to technology in multiple forms. Besides the understanding of the organizational basis of society and systems-based paradigms for societal, industrial and governmental organization, you will also be made aware of the relationships between parts of architecture and the cultures that created them.

Basic historical architecture in context, spanning Europe, America and the Orient.

The first structures created by man from origins of humankind to the imposition of the West onto seemingly non-powerful cultures.

Appropriation and misappropriation of architecture and its misuse in culture.

Critical analysis of existing architectural structures and how to backtrack their cultures.
