Course Description

Graphic design as a practice has become more important in our culture. And through visual examples, this course will teach you its fundamental principles including image making, typography, composition, working with color and shape and much more. There will be many opportunities through the length of this program for you to use theoretical knowledge in practice.

What You’ll Learn

  • Exploring and investigating visual representation through a range of image-making techniques.

  • Basic principles of working with shape, color and pattern.

  • The language and skills of typography, and principles of composition and visual contrast.

  • A beginner's level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
